No. 1 Monroe rolls past Broome

BINGHAMTON, NY - The top-ranked MCC ice hockey team picked up another regional victory Saturday, defeating Broome CC 11-1.

The top-ranked Tribunes are 14-1 on the season, including 6-0 against Region III opponents.

Rick Hennard (Detroit, MI/Royal Oak) made 26 saves in goal for Monroe.

Dan Turgeon (Centennial, CO/Cherokee Trail) led the way with two goals and two assists.  Connor Smith (Duxbury, MA/Duxbury) added two goals and one assist, and David Roberts (Brockpor, NY/Brockport) also scored twice.

Zach Lewis (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) chipped in with a goal and two assists, and Mike Boyd (Vancouver, BC/Sullivan Heights) and Matt Johnston (Calgary, AB/Bishop O' Brien) had one goal and one assist apiece.

Brandon Kirchens (Chicago, IL/Wheeling) and Max Hedenbergh (Gothenburg, Sweden/Goteborgs Hogre Samskola) had one goal each.
