JCC men defeat Monroe

JAMESTOWN, NY - The Jamestown Community College men's basketball team picked up a 70-67 victory over MCC in the WNYAC opener for both teams.

The Tribunes fall to 9-8 with the defeat.

The Jayhawks took a three-point lead at the half and were able to hold off the cold-shooting Tribunes over the final 20 minutes to get the win.  MCC shot 36 percent on the day.

Eddie Callender (Philadelphia, PA/Lankenau) paced Monroe with 18 points and also added four steals.  Andre Armstrong (Queens, NY/Notre Dame Prep) hit three 3-pointers and finished with 13.

Mike Wilson (Philadelphia, PA/Rise Prep) chipped in with 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
