Tribunes top CSM in overtime
LA PLATA, MD - Travis DeLyser (Marion, NY/Marion) scored the game-winning goal a minute and 26 seconds into overtime as the MCC men's soccer team defeated the College of Southern Maryland 1-0 Saturday.
The victory was the fifth in a row for the Tribunes (8-2-1), with all five coming by way of the shutout.
Eddie Bower (Holley, NY/Holley) made seven saves in goal for Monroe. It was Bower's fourth shutout of the season and the team's sixth overall.
The two teams played to a scoreless draw through regulation, but it didn't take the Tribunes long to end it. DeLyser took a pass from Abe Barry (Henrietta, NY/Greece Olympia) and beat the CSM keeper for the winner.
