GCC holds off Monroe

ROCHESTER - The MCC volleyball team lost a tough match to WNYAC rival Genesee CC Thursday night.

The Cougars prevailed by the scores of 25-23, 25-16, 19-25, 25-22.  MCC is now 14-7 on the season.

Ashley Kelly (Greece, NY/Greece Athena) had a big day at the net, registering 13 kills. Virginia Combs (Penfield, NY/Mercy) chipped in with 31 assists, five blocks, and three digs.

Paige Calabrese (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) added 12 digs and Erica Thompson (Liverpool, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) had seven blocks.  Allison Miller (Newark, NY/Newark) and Lindsey Morehouse (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan) had five blocks apiece.
