Monroe routs Niagara behind Allen's 30

SANBORN, NY - Sehmonyeh Allen (Freehold, NJ/Neptune) connected on five 3-pointers and scored a season-high 30 points to lead MCC to a 90-32 victory over Niagara County CC in women’s basketball Saturday.

The victory was the 12th straight for the 15th-ranked Tribunes, who moved to 17-3 on the season.

Allen finished 9-for-20 from the field and also knocked down all seven of her free throws.  She also added five rebounds and three steals.

The Lady Tribunes dominated the boards, out-rebounding Niagara 62-31.  Donisha Watson (Bronx, NY/Mt. Vernon) led the way with 17 rebounds, including 11 on the offensive glass.  Watson added 13 points and four blocks.

Ayana Bradley (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) registered her third straight double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds.  Shaquaya Daniels (Harlem, NY/JFK) came up just short of a triple-double with 10 points, nine assists, and nine steals.

MCC totaled 21 steals and forced 27 turnovers on the day.
