Three named All-American
ROCHESTER - Three members of the national-championship winning MCC women's lacrosse team have been named All-American by the NJCAA.
Sophomores Allyn Parrino (Brockport, NY/Brockport), Kaila Fox (Clifton Springs, NY/Midlakes), and Mollie Zimmerman (Fairport, NY/Fairport) were honored for helping lead the Tribunes to their second straight national title.
Parrino totaled 25 goals and 18 assists from her position in the midfield. She was also named the Region III tournament Most Valuable Player. Fox was a consistent scoring threat all season and finished with 40 goals and 22 assists.
Zimmerman was a two-year starter in goal for Monroe. She compiled a .618 save percentage and had a 5.32 goals against average in 2011. Zimmerman was named the Outstanding Defensive Player at the national tournament.
