MCC wraps up regular season with win

ROCHESTER - The MCC women's soccer team finished off the regular season with a 4-0 victory over the University of Rochester JVs Friday evening.

The win moved the Tribunes to 14-4-1 on the season. MCC will host the Region III, Division I championship game next Saturday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m.  The opponent has yet to be determined.

MCC wasted no time as Catherine Mucha (Nunda, NY/Keshequa) got the Tribunes on the board just under two minutes into the game with a 25-yard shot that went over the goalie's head.  

Karly Tolentino (Greece, NY/Greece Odyssey) then scored twice in a span of six minutes as the Tribunes led 3-0 at the break. Tolentino later finished off a hat trick with a goal four minutes into the second half.

Mucha also added one assist, as did Annie Terilli (Brockport, NY/Brockport) and Kaylen O'Brien (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport).

Chloe Crook (London, England/Holy Family) and Hannah Conine (Livonia, NY/Livonia) combined to make five saves to register the shutout.
