Welcome to MCC!

Congratulations on being accepted into Monroe Community College. We are excited to have you as a student! Start on the road to success at MCC by following some helpful next steps:

• Check the status of your financial aid application or apply now.
• Pick a time to take your placement tests: Check our walk-in testing hours.
• Complete your residence hall application: Want to live on campus in the Alice Holloway Young Commons? Apply today!
• Register for classes: Click here for new student advisement and registration times.
• Learn about new student orientation: Orientation provides an opportunity to be introduced to faculty, staff and other new students, providing you with a smoother transition as you pursue your educational goals at MCC.
• Check in with Health Services: Official MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) immunization records need to be forwarded to the college's Health Services Office; check in to see what requirements should be met.
• Obtain a parking permit: Attending classes on the Brighton Campus? Be sure to apply for your parking permit.

Transfer your student information:

• Previous college coursework: Request the registrar of the college(s) previously attended to send an official transcript of your academic record to the MCC Admissions Office. The Admissions Office will evaluate transfer credit after the receipt of the official transcript. Transfer credit is awarded from colleges and universities that are recognized by an accrediting agency, such as Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools or the American Council of Education (ACE).
• AP courses: MCC awards transfer credit to students who have completed an AP exam with a score 3 or higher.
• International Baccalaureate (IB) courses: MCC will also consider transfer credit for students who have completed Higher Level (HL) courses and earned a grade of 4 or higher on the exam.
